Hugo Danino - Under The Spring

£5.00

The days are going as fast as the blink of an eye.

Can’t you feel like it’s all turning rather greyscale?

London, a quarter of a century ago.

Our protagonist, author of this memoir, muses’ purposelessness while behind the wheel of a Hackney Carriage.

Now and again, on our author’s rickety odyssey there are fleeting appearances from a coterie of celebrity and public figures, memories of old flames and family members.

‘Under the Spring’ is the first published work by author Hugo Danino.

It is a raw, universal testament of an all too human account of a life lived from an age before a rapidly growing digital revolution, nonetheless addressing our universal hangups and preoccupations. The book also includes a foreword by Mark Anthony Pearce and an exclusive cover design by artist Seth Guy.

Hugo Danino is a multi-disciplinary artist, based in London. He has acted in several films and was a member of the improvisational group, 'Little Princess Orchestra'. Until 2014 he ran 'Hugo's Speakers Palace', in Hackney where he collected speakers and created a palace of sound for personal and public use.

Published December 2025.
